Public hearing: December 9, 2020

Notice is hereby given that the Sarpy County and Cities Wastewater Agency will hold a public hearing on December 9, 2020, immediately following the Agency Board meeting that is scheduled at 4:00 pm in the Sarpy County Administrative Building Board Room located at 1210 Golden Gate Drive in Papillion, Nebraska.  The public hearing and comments will end at 6:00 pm.  As required for State Revolving Loan Funding from the Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy and other funding agencies, the hearing will discuss construction of a proposed wastewater collection system in southern Sarpy County.  The project has notably changed since it was presented during the 2019 public hearing and no longer includes new wastewater treatment along the proposed sewer lines, but wastewater flow will be delivered and treated at Omaha’s existing Papillion Creek Water Resource Recovery Facility. Proposed wastewater improvements represent Phase 1A of a potential, larger wastewater system that would serve additional areas in southern Sarpy County.
The purpose of this public hearing is to present project information to property owners and interested stakeholders.  A presentation and handout including maps, drawings and other pertinent data will be available during the hearing and all persons/parties interested in the design, location and construction of wastewater facilities are invited to attend and comment.
For persons/parties who are unable to attend the actual hearing, all meeting materials displayed at the hearing shall be posted to the Agency’s website at  Materials shall also be available upon request from Lisa Haire, Sarpy County Administration Coordinator, at 1210 Golden Gate Drive, (402) 593-1565, or [email protected].  Written comments may be submitted to Lisa Haire through January 8, 2021.
