GIS Services

The Geographic Information Systems Department has a variety of maps and data layers available for purchase at its office in the Sarpy County Courthouse in Papillion, NE. The Department can provide you with digital data and hard copy paper maps for the fees as outlined below. Digital data can be delivered either in shapefile format or as an ESRI® Personal Geodatabase v9.2.

County-Wide Data CD's

The entire county-wide Geodatabase may be purchased from the department. Currently the Geodatabase can fit on one CD; however, as the Geodatabase size increases due to the addition of data, the number of CDs will increase and proportional price increases will occur.

Custom Data

Any data request that requires delivery in any other file format or requests for specified areas of interest will be regarded as a custom data release. This includes data clips of specific neighborhoods, districts, or other features that do not conform to city/county boundaries or tax map tiles. Custom Data sets incur a $50.00 per hour charge for the GIS staff to develop. A minimum one business day is needed to complete custom data requests.

Custom Maps

Any map that is not pre-prepared will be regarded as a custom map. This includes maps of specific neighborhoods, districts, or other features. Custom Map Plots are the same cost as the county-wide maps above, except that custom maps incur a $50.00 per hour charge for the GIS staff to develop. A minimum one business day is needed to complete custom map requests.
